The Alaska Native Arts Foundation is pleased to welcome Coco Lynge to Alaska as a visiting artist.
Coco is a multidisciplinary artist; working within graphic design, character concept art, fashion design, book illustration and art exhibition.
Born in Greenland and raised in Denmark, Coco grew up longing for her Greenlandic roots. This longing often expresses itself through her personal work, where she explores her heritage. Coco shares, “I’m looking forward to visiting Anchorage. This is my first visit to Alaska and I’m looking forward to seeing and finding inspiration in the beautiful nature.”
While she is in Alaska, Coco will be a guest presenter for an Alaska Native Art class at the University of Alaska Anchorage, and she will have her work on display during the RESISTANCE exhibition at the Wild Birch Hotel. For more information about Coco, please see her website: https://www.bycocoa.com/
The Alaska Native Arts Foundation is able to host two visiting artists this year thanks to partnerships with the Alaska Native Museum Sovereignty group and funding support from the Henry Luce Foundation.
