Anchorage, Alaska—The Alaska Native Arts Foundation (ANAF) proudly announces the upcoming launch of the Alaska Native Arts Directory in 2025. Inspired by the motto ‘Our Art, One Place,’ this initiative will serve as a centralized hub for Alaska Native creatives, encompassing both contemporary and traditional art forms.
With more than 100 artists already included, the Directory will become a valuable resource for artists, supporters, and friends of the arts. ANAF encourages Native artists from across Alaska to join this groundbreaking project. The official launch is scheduled for later this year, marking 2025 as a transformative year for Alaska Native art.
In addition to the Directory, ANAF is planning the Alaska Native Artist Summit, set to take place later this year. This event will provide artists, supporters, and partners with a platform to connect, share ideas, and celebrate the rich and diverse tapestry of Alaska Native art and culture.
Reflecting on this pivotal moment, Dr. Nadia Jackinsky-Sethi, ANAF’s Strategic Partnerships Liaison, remarked: “This is an exciting time for the Alaska Native arts community. ANAF looks forward to building partnerships with organizations and institutions committed to uplifting Alaska Native art and artists. This collective effort will amplify our impact and strengthen our vibrant arts ecosystem.”
ANAF is also pleased to share its 2024 Annual Report, which offers insights into the organization’s achievements and outlines its ambitious vision for the future. ANAF extends heartfelt gratitude to its supporters, particularly Senator Lisa Murkowski for her steadfast advocacy and the Denali Commission for its financial contributions, both of which have been instrumental in bringing these projects to fruition.
As the Alaska Native Arts Directory prepares for its launch, artists are invited to participate in the Directory survey at AlaskaNativeArtsDirectory.org to ensure the platform meets their needs.
