Nadia Jackinsky-Sethi

Nadia Jackinsky-Sethi (Alutiiq) is the Program Manager for Alaska Native Initiatives and Partnerships at the Alaska Native Arts Foundation. She is an art historian, arts administrator, and museum consultant based in Homer, Alaska. Her work is focused on supporting Alaska Native arts revitalization, museum sovereignty, and Alaska Native arts documentation. Nadia serves on the board of the Native Arts and Culture Foundation and is the northwest regional advisor for First American Art Magazine.

Kathy Mayo

Fairbanks, Alaska 

Kathy Mayo is a lifelong Alaskan residing in Fairbanks. She understands the region, the state and complexity of stakeholders, often extending beyond state borders. Mayo has a passion for advancement of the oil & gas industry with over 25-years experience in communications and public relations, federal requirements, and data standards for pipelines.

Kathy Mayo is dedicated to development of Alaska including mining, oil & gas, transportation, and defense. This required for economic vitality and national security, Mayo’s client base includes the DoD-related companies and institutions, transportation and mining, energy industry, She is currently on the Community Advisory Committee for the Alaska Command (ALCOM JBER), President of Air & Space Force Association for Alaska (AFA), and the Tiger Team for the Fairbanks North Star Borough.

Kathy is a tribal member of Eagle Village and a shareholder of Doyon, Limited (regional Native corporation) as established by the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (1971).

Veronica Slajer

Anchorage, Alaska 

Veronica Slajer is a trained communities and social performance professional with more than 30 years of experience in economic development, community engagement, stakeholder relations, and matters affecting the Arctic, rural communities, and Indigenous peoples. Ms. Slajer holds a Masters of Rural Development degree with a concentration on community engagement in the mining and extractive industries. Ms. Slajer served on the U.S. Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), a federal advisory committee shaping a global standard to improve accountability for oil, gas, and mining revenues. A lifelong Alaskan, Ms. Slajer resides in Anchorage, Alaska, and Washington, D.C.

Trina Landlord

Yup’ik
Mountain Village & Anchorage, Alaska 

Trina Landlord began her career in the arts at a cultural embassy, the Alaska House, New York where she worked in communications, managed and coordinated art gallery openings, dinners honoring humanitarians, forums, lectures, film screenings and book readings.

She returned to Alaska and served as the Executive Director of the Alaska Native Arts Foundation, which aimed to create opportunities for Alaska Native artists by marketing, promoting and advocating for the arts in Alaska.

She has coordinated seven Alaska Native Fashion Shows that celebrate, advance visibility and provide a platform to feature the creativity of Indigenous designers and models on the runway. Her background has been in Alaska Native non-profits for 25 years and she presently works in business development at an Indigenous and woman-owned full-service brand marketing and communications firm.

Trina is Yup’ik, originally from the Yukon River community of Mountain Village and currently resides in Anchorage.

Gail Schubert

Inupiaq
Unalakleet & Anchorage, Alaska

Gail Anagick Schubert is the President & CEO of the Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC), an Alaska Native regional corporation serving seventeen member villages in the Bering Strait region. Gail is Inupiaq and was born and raised in Unalakleet, Alaska.  She is a direct descendant of the last traditional chief and shaman of Unalakleet, Chief Nashalook. In addition to serving as President & CEO of BSNC, Gail serves on the boards of the Alaska Federation of Natives, Alaska Native Justice Center, ANCSA Regional Association, Commonwealth North, the Iditarod Trail Committee, the Native American Contractors Association, and the State of Alaska Renewable Energy Fund Advisory Committee. Gail has served on the BSNC Board of Directors since 1992.

Gail is an ATHENA Society awardee, recipient of the Northwest Indian Bar Association’s Unsung Hero Award, and YWCA Alaska/BP Woman of Achievement Awardee for her leadership and excellence in her professional and personal endeavors, as well as her contributions to the larger community.

Prior to joining BSNC, Schubert practiced law in Anchorage after an eight-year career on Wall Street, where she worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and two Wall Street law firms. She earned an undergraduate degree from Stanford University, a Masters Degree in Business Administration (with an emphasis in accounting and finance) from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management, and a Juris Doctorate from the Cornell University School of Law.
